The Taiwan Mainland Affairs Council announced the plan to resume cross-strait air passenger transport

 

News from Civil Aviation Resource Network on March 11, 2023: According to China Central Radio and Television's "Gantaihai" official Weibo news, Taiwan's Mainland Affairs Council held a press conference on the afternoon of the 9th and announced the launch of the "Restoration of Cross-Strait Air Passenger Waypoint Planning". The plan includes restoring 10 scheduled flight destinations including Guangzhou, Nanjing, Wuhan, and Shenzhen, and 13 charter flight destinations including Shenyang, Wuxi, Haikou, and Jinan, in addition to the existing four direct flight cities. The waypoints of scheduled flights will resume from March 10, and the waypoints of charter flights will be implemented after the details are announced by Taiwan’s traffic management department. Prior to this, the mainland has repeatedly called on Taiwan to resume 16 cross-strait direct flight points such as Guangzhou as soon as possible, so that compatriots on both sides of the strait can realize normal exchanges as soon as possible.
